1. Liquid Seal?
-. Liquid Oil & Ref. gas Trapped in closed pipe section.
-. In case of rapid Temperature raise, It make huge pressure inside.
-. In case of Multi V IV Oil pipe`s EEV failure, liquid seal could happened .

4. Service guide for oil pipe damage

1) Since Jan 2014, Oil pipe EEV assembly has by-pass capillary tube to prevent liquid seal.
By-pass capi. release & prevent abnormal high pressure rise in case of EEV failure.

2) In case of Oil pipe damage for Multi V IV 2 comp 2013 product,

replace damaged Pipe and New EEV Assembly.
- EEV assembly(SVC Loc No : 552200E) : New SVC Part(AJR74488601)
- Pipe assembly(SVC Loc No : 352111B) : AJR73964301
- If necessarily, change check valve and check valve upper connector

5. Preventive Setting to avoid oil pipe damage

1) Multi V IV 2 comp 2013 product, it can have bypass effect by SW & Dip switch setting.
This setting oil EEV fixed on 200pls so it always has some amount of Ref. bypass.
Before : EEV 70pls (compressor on), Fully open ( compressor off)
After : EEV 200pls always. It allow 24L/min(0.1Mpa pressure) bypass
※This setting recommended when start up for Multi V IV 2comp. 2013 production
as preventive action.
2) How to set
Step1. Main PGM on boarding
Heat Pump : testSuper4_controlOilEEV200_141114.mot
Heat Recovery : svcSync4_ver14.1_OilEEVCtrl200_141112a.mot
Setp2. Outdoor PCB Dip switch setting
Put all Dip s/w
System Stop PCB Reset
Slave down
Master Unit
Unit
After 1min.
Wait 1min. for EEV normal positioning
Put Dip #5 up

Set the menu to

“SVC”
With “◀” &“▶” then push “◎” button.
Heat Pump /
Set the menu to With “◀” &“▶” then push “◎” button. Heat Recovery model:
“SE11” Displayed current pulse Same “SE11”

Set the target With “◀” &“▶” then push “◎” button.
pulse(20) The number means the target pulse divided by 10
Target Pulse : 200 pulse

Wait 1min. for

EEV moving

Step3. Check movement with LGMV (option)

- During 30 sec, the EEV stays at 40pulse then increase as 200pls in 30sec
Step4. Remove Oil EEV cable on External PCB to fix EEV on 200pls
- When power reset, external PCB do EEV initialization operation.
This operation do EEV full close & open again, so it needs to disconnect to fix EEV position.
Step5. Put Dip #5 down. and Main PCB reset
- If It was slave unit, before reset pcb dip s/w must go back to original position.
★Do not PCB reset before remove Oil EEV cable on External PCB.
