Sea0 Ltd

THE BUSINESS OF CLIMATE AND PEOPLE

“Blue Sea Thinking”

Sea02 Ltd was created for the purpose of bringing a unique range of fresh chilled sea-vegetables, cultivated using
our unique 3D ,zero impact, “Regenerative Ocean Farm in a Box” IMTA aquaculture system, to the UK major
food retailers and beyond, under our Kombu King branding.

Essentially our strategy is to leverage off initial food sales to allow access into scalable 3D seaweed farming,
establish in-house processing, scale production and then capitalise on the other incredibly exciting opportunities
in this space driven by “The Climate Emergency”.

“Currently in European waters there are 44,000 hectares of offshore wind footprint. If half of this area
was cultivated with seaweeds, some 22,000 hectares, the entire annual CO2 output from every motor
vehicle in Europe would be mitigated – within three months.”

Our team has the specific skill sets and experience required to efficiently deliver our vision.
Why Seaweeds ?
Seaweeds are the most highly mineralised plant on Earth. Seaweeds don’t catch fire.

They grow 60-80% faster than any other plant and utilise no fresh water or land to grow.

Every tonne of seaweed captures two tonnes of environmental carbon (carbonic acid).
Carbon Negative.

Totally organic sustainable production model. Zero impact .

These plants Deacidify, Oxygenate and Purify sea water promoting healthy shellfish
growth and provide sustainable marine habitat. Regenerating the Marine environment.

Per acre they provide more protein and mineral density than livestock or dairy farms.

The aquaculture and harvest of seaweed is both environmentally robust and sustainable. Social
License.

They Taste Great – flavour profiles range from Green Apple through to Perrigord Truffle.

Strategic Goals
Round One Seed Funding 2022/2023

£790,000

Establish two 20 tonne digitised 3D “Ocean Farm in a box” to support our initial food product offerings. Planning and licensing consents granted 2020.

Design and launch shelf ready retail product range in conjunction with Queen Margaret's University collaborating with a major UK retailer and the Wild Room London,
whilst continuing to develop our existing wholesale opportunities.

Round Two “A” Funding 2024 onwards

£1,900,000

Locate, acquire, design and fit out a 3500 sq.ft. state of the art seaweed processing facility.

Scale up to 15 units total, with co-operative deployment model, all serviced by the new processing facility.

Diversify seaweed product offering to other industrial sectors.

Offer combined infrastructure and marketing package to accelerate scale both National and International.

Introduce the cultivation of high value bi-valves and fish traps to our existing sites. Scallop Ranching.

The Opportunity
Sea02 Ltd is partnering with a UK Multiple Retailer to develop this unique product
range in order to present a fully compliant, shelf ready product range at launch on a
UK exclusive basis.

This partnership will allow Sea02 Ltd to access the necessary investment to scale
up the 3D aquaculture of these species of seaweed and to establish a state of the art
processing and packaging facility on the Scottish mainland.

This unique and sustainable business model would allow us to have product shelf
ready for the UK multiples by 2022.

 Seaweeds are the future of functional food and are currently exhibiting
exponential annual sales growth globally. Disruptive Innovation.

Currently 99% of global seaweed aquaculture/production currently resides in the

Far East.
Growth Strategy
From the initial establishment of two 3D aquaculture units with
sub contracted processing and storage we could produce
100,000 retail units of the product for initial in store trials.
On successful completion of the development trials, using a
cooperative model, production units would be scaled up
proportionate to demand and a purpose built processing facility
would be established to bring the entire “farm to fork”
production process in house.
With scale to cash price per kilo of the product will fall but we
are confident that our minimum 50% GP will not.
