I said, "I want to write an INXS song. So they started playing some kind of INXS-y song, and I wrote the song" Hey, Soul Sister "and
the melodies and started singing it. And I said," Dude, this doesn't sound right for me. "
- Pat Monahan.

About wanting to write an INXS-style song.

One of the boys, Espen, who is like a big star in Norway, picked up a ukulele and said, "Hey, how about this?" I said, "Are you
kidding me?" And it made the difference. It made my words dance. It made sense. These words had to dance with ukulele and
not guitar.
