Developing Literacy Skills

Isra, today you spend some time practicing writing your name. As the weather
did not permit us to go out to play we decide to choose activities indoor. Isra,
you decided writing. So I gave you a sheet of paper with dotted lined printed
‘Isra’. You happily sat at the table with your friend Hiba started writing. Although
I knew that you are a left hander, I tried to see if you could write with right
hand, noticed you are having difficulty writing with your right hand, so I let you
use your left hand. You asked me, “Can you please show me how to write ‘r’?” I
demonstrated how to write all the letters in your name. As I know that it is very
important the children learn the correct way of writing from the early age.
Because once it imprinted in their mind it would be difficult to change if they
learn wrong way.
Masha Allah Isra! You sat there for a while concentrating, when you are done
you were so happy, proudly you showed me the product of your hard work.
Ka pai Isra Jan!
