Garffiti Painting

I enjoyed using my creativity in this assignment. I have never transformed an image

before, but with some experimentation I was able to overcome my fears of doing
something for the first time. For my Garffiti painting I used the sketchbook application
on my computer. The tools I used were pencil, airbrush, ball point pen, hard eraser,
paintbrush, and color editor. I had fun exploring with these tools and I learned how to
transform an image of my instructor. I liked the fact that I was able to cover something
that I had painted with another color. After using another color on top of a previous
color, I was able to correct mistakes. I also learned I could use the eraser to erase as
well as create.I used my ability to draw with pencil and paper and transferred this to
my computer. When I enlarged the image, I was able to add more details.

1.6. Creative Communicator Students communicate clearly and express themselves creatively for a
variety of purposes using the platforms, tools, styles, formats and digital media appropriate to their
goals. Students create original works or responsibly repurpose or remix digital resources into new
creations.

This is a learning activity I would be able to implement in my Primary Autism

classroom. I have a couple of students that enjoy drawing pictures on their
Chromebooks. They do not like using crayons or pencils, but love their Chromebooks
and Ipads. The children usually draw on a blank screen. In the future I will teach them
how to copy and paste an already existing image and allow them to change the image
any way they would like. I would like to see the students create a self portrait. I belive
my students will really enjoy this assignment. This assignment will boost their self
esteem and they will be proud of what they have accomplished.
