The role of FPK
• According to the Center for Curriculum Development in KPM
(2001), the Philosophy of National Education plays a very
important role such as:

• As a light that gives guidance and direction to all efforts


to develop and advance education;

• Be the basic policy and consideration to determine the


National Education Goals;

• As a reference to help educators understand the national


education system;
The role of FPK
• As guidance for educators as they perform educational
tasks;

• As a basic policy and consideration for determining


curriculum, lesson materials and teaching and learning
strategies;

• As a controller over deviant activities from educational


policy; and

• Eliminate misunderstandings, doubts or disputes in any


effort to perform tasks or educational activities.
