provide a platform for creative thinking.
Development of social value

• Social cooperation is recognized as one of the

important demands of citizenship

Languages, Mathematics or Social Sciences
• By participating in group activities, students learn good
manners and develop a sense of cooperation
• Students learn to appreciate the relationship of an
individual to the social group
Development of civic value
• Qualities like initiative and leadership are not always developed in a
classroom.
• On the field, students get opportunities to develop leadership
qualities like initiative, decision-making, judgment and tolerance.
• These qualities are required for a democratic society.
• Many girls and boys have little practice in controlling themselves
and in directing their own relationship.
Physical development value

• Games, sports and athletics directly contribute to

physical development of students, other co-curricular
activities also indirectly contribute to it
• These activities provide a useful channel for the
growth and development of the body
Aesthetic & Recreational value

performing arts give relaxation from the normal routine.

• Drawing, painting, fancy dress, fine arts, preparation of models

and flow charts develop aesthetic sensitivity.

help in providing opportunities for better understanding of
our cultural heritage and traditions.

religious and social festivals provide better knowledge
and understanding of our culture

interacting with your peers is essential to ensuring your high school
experience is as rich as it can be.
• Even if you’re not someone who finds social situations easy, joining a school
club is the perfect way to meet like-minded individuals. Having fun with
friends will make your high school experience more enjoyable, and those
social skills will come in handy when you start university or your first job.
• Never underestimate the importance of connecting to others – there’s power
in building networks. The friends you make tomorrow could be the ones who
support you your whole life through.

trying in the face of failure or difficulty.
