Accelerometer Based Fall detection

 Fall Detection system is the most prominent research area for

detection of falls.
 Falls among older people are a serious health issue and can
result in hip fractures, traumatic brain injuries, and even
fatalities. 25% of 65+ years older adults fall each year
 A Robust fall detection system can detect falls precisely and
alert the caregivers about a certain fall which is good for both
the caregivers and patients
 Recent development in wearable IoT caused accelerometer-
based devices to gain immense popularity. It also opened the
opportunity to detect fall more precisely.

Accelerometer Based Fall detection
 Experiment results showed fall detection with accelerometer
had best performance, as it collected vital signals in generating
accurate analysis.

Problem Statement
 Baseline Paper
 Problems which will be addressed.

In an existing model only few basic emotions that are positive ,

neutral and negative emptions are identified. The accuracy of
existing model can also be improved which is of 69.67% and
91.07% on the DEAP and SEED datasets, respectively.

Aims & Objectives
The aim and objective of the Research is:
Design an effective model that can identify more classes
of emotions.
Design an effective model that can improve the
classification accuracy.
Identify the electrode and frequency bands which are
useful for emotions classifications.

Literature Review

 The features which are spectral density, logarithm band power, Hjorth parameter, wavelet
transform and fractal dimensions are considered and for feature selection a mathematical
method i.e. genetic algorithm andFrequency
support vector machine (GA-SVM) were used[3].

Electrodes for emotions classifications [4]

The auto regressive AR algorithm for EEG is that because it
is considered that EEG signals are affected due to white
Gaussian noise and can be avoided through AR. The accuracy
of this algorithm is 94.097% and it is considered most
prominent algorithm over the existing algorithm[5].

Deap Dataset
Data is recorded with 32 subjects and each subject
watched 40 videos with 40 channels. Sixteen categories of
emotions are classified using deap dataset.

Utilization of Research
We are proposing EEG framework for the emotions
classifications which contribute for the Brain Computer
Interfacing applications. The proposed model can be
used to determine the stress level in an individuals and
can be used for the artificial intelligence.
