and saw what Primo said and regretting all she
said to Primo in the past. They got back together
and that’s the end the story of Primo and George.
Analysis
Even more shady is the fact that the film takes the most pleasant route to its predicted
happy ending. It features a variety of amusing situations, such as George practically
separating their house with duct tape and Primo being taken by surprise by George's
curves, which force him to give yes to her every request. It takes the safest approach
possible, inventing sob tales to put the lovers in a situation where they must make
sacrifices in order to portray both remorseful and forgiving hearts. It showcases a series
of quotable statements in order to overshadow its single goal of announcing that love
heals all.
It's all nice, except that the former lovers' return to one other's arms is so easy,
comfortable, and convenient that it undermines the film's attempts to portray a more
mature sort of relationship.
