Creating Folders

Select Places menu from Taskbar Click on Computer option Select the Destination Folder Click File>Create Folder or Right Click and select Create Folder from pop-up menu

Excel is a computer program used to enter, analyze, and present quantitative data A spreadsheet is a collection of text and numbers laid out in a rectangular grid.
Often used in business for budgeting, inventory management, and decision making

What-if analysis lets you change one or more values in a spreadsheet and then assess the effect those changes have on the calculated values

Entering Text, Numbers, and Dates in Cells


The formula bar displays the content of the active cell Text data is a combination of letters, numbers, and some symbols Number data is any numerical value that can be used in a mathematical calculation Date and time data are commonly recognized formats for date and time values

Date and Time


Date format can be MM/DD/YY, MMM-YY, DD-MMM-YY, DDMMM Time format can be HH:MM, HH:MM:SS, HH:MM AM/PM, HH:MM, MM/DD/YY HH:MM,HH:MM MM/SS/YY

Creating Workbook

By default, New workbook will be created or Select File>New Spreadsheet or Click on new button on toolbar

Editing Cell Contents

By Double click on Cell Content or Select the cell and edit contents in Formula bar or Press F2

Saving workbook
Click on Save button on the Standard toolbar or Press Ctrl + S Keys or Select Save or Save As from File Menu

Closing workbook
Click on Close button or Press Ctrl + Q Keys or Select Exit from File Menu

Open an existing workbook


Click on Open button on the Standard toolbar or Press Ctrl + O Keys or Select Open from File Menu
