8 INTRODUCTION

 The Discrete Wavelet Transform(DWT) is used scaling function and implements the threshold of

feature extracted to determine the noisy data from the EEG signal. By applying DWT in connection

with Convolutional neural network (CNN) obtained novel and reliable classification with accuracy.

 The comparisons between the established classifiers were mainly based on the exploration of the

receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves as well as a sum of scalar performance measures

concerning the classification.

9 PROBLEM STATEMENT
 A clinical approach of EEG is primarily used for detecting one of the neurological disorders of Alzheimers

 Time-consuming affects the neurologist performance and maximum of the laborious process.

 The manual assessment puts a heavy burden on neurologists for analyzing EEG brain signals.

 Alzheimer’s Disease occur due to the functionality of neurological disorder in the brain which can affect
patient’s health.

 However the detection of current approaches is manually detected by domain experts but this mainly relies
on the limited features.

 which are inflexible while detecting a huge amount of EEG data and Alzheimer’s exaggerated patients.
10 PROPOSED SYSTEM
 Machine Learning (ML) techniques are used for predicting Alzheimer’s Disease from the given
dataset of Electroencephalograms (EEG) signals.

 However, there are two major concerns that are noisy removal form pre-processing of EEG signal and
feature extraction.

 To increase the computational speed of the preprocessing method for Alzheimer’s Disease
classification through a Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT).

 The proposed method of Logistic Regression as well as CLONALG classifier was compared with the
classification relations of EEG signals to detect Alzheimer’s Disease.

 The Neural network of the CLONALG algorithm is used to compare the result of classification with
any of the outcomes of an Alzheimer’s Disease or Alzheimer’s Disease that were accurately analyzed.
