Forms of Humanitarian Community
Society can be defined as: the set of values, customs and
traditions that are shared by a group of people in particular
territory, and they have a life on their own, and a culture
that makes them distinguished from others.

1- The community
Conditions for forming a society:
1- group of people
2- Geographic location
3- The values, customs and traditions
4- A social system approved by them
5- A culture of their own that reflects their personality
Forms of Humanitarian Community
2- The Group: a group of individuals including some
form of interaction and communication. Each group is
recognized by the members and other groups. It could
also include social relations and the individuals have
their particular roles. There are primary groups and
secondary groups. Primary groups are characterized
by deep relationships and interaction among the
members, while secondary groups have shallow
relationships among their members.
Forms of Humanitarian Community
3- The Crowd: a group of individuals met without
planning on something and they have different
backgrounds, social and individual characteristics. For
example, a crowd that gathers to watch an accident.
The Social Structure
The social structure of the human community consists
of individuals, families, and groups that formulate
social institutions and social relations, values and
customs. However, this structure is not complete
without social cohesion, social interaction, and
customs and values.

The Importance of Studying The Community
The community is very important in any individual’s life
because:
1- Community has an impact on the thinking of young
people and future generations and helps in forming their
religious beliefs and values, ethics and morals.
2- Community affects the emotions of people living in it
3- Society defines for its members ways to satisfy their
needs and requirements
4- Society creates in the individual the urge to search for
innovation and creativity. It motivates the individuals to
perform at their best.
