 Lack of Expression and words
Comprehension Problem

 Difficult to decode the meaning.

For Example:

 What is up? (…upar kya hai?...)

Are you going to take your exam?


(...exam lene?...)
How are you doing? (…kya chiz…kaise kr rha?.)
 Knowing all the rules and words they feel
problems in deciphering the meaning.

 They take very much time to understand.

Reason:
1. They are not taught “Language Use”
2. They are taught “Grammatical System”
Listening Fluency
 They are week in listening fluency.
 They are not exposed to “spoken discourse”
Speaking fluency
 Speaking is not considered in grammatical
approach.
 Their main focus is to understand the ‘system

of the language’.
English Reading
Problems in Reading

 Tongue slip problem due to the influence of
mother tongue.

 Example: Scientists, extracts photography,


Organization.

 “Lame Lion lived in lane leading to London”

 ‘New words’ due to not being exposed to reading

 They fail to sense the degree of formality of word


Writing problem
 They lack proper expression.
 They use translated language.
 Even for translation, it take a lot of time to

find words.
 Thinking more about structure leads to

disrupt ‘writing fluency’.


Conclusion

 All aspects of language should be equally


taken into consideration but grammatical
approach ignores many of them.
