Annealing, in materials science, is a heat
treatment that alters the physical and sometimes
chemical properties of a metal to increase its
ductility and reduce its hardness, making it more
workable.

Portable gas torch
Small Bunsen burner
Oxyacetylene welding torch

Step 1
Ignite the gas by pulling the trigger on the flint lighter in close
proximity to the hose head until you see an orange-red flame.
Slowly turn the valve on the oxygen tank until the flame turns
blue.
