Hoplite Nebula

● A diffuse nebula with beautiful orange and

cyan clouds that seem to form a shield and
spear (a vague circular mass bisected by a
long column of swirling gases).
● The sector is stable enough to allow passage,
and while a study has been commissioned, it
has not yet received the necessary funds to
commence. In the meanwhile, it serves as a
tourist trap and an occasional out-of-the-way
meeting spot for all sorts.

BTS Station
● The Biotechnic Systems Institute established this station during the earliest explorations of this part
of the galaxy. Consequently, it holds a number of disused sections and chambers, some of which
were used for scientific exploration. The old lab became a money sink quickly and, over the years,
began to incorporate more and more travel accommodations and shipping modules. It now serves
as the SE end of the sector and provides a jump point for travel across the "bridge" to the NE.

● Modules: 48 in use (approximately 20 abandoned)

● Primary Governance: Station Superintendent Harlan Vicks, Security Oversight Committee

Homunculus Nebula
● Named after a larger, but mostly diffuse, nebula, the Homunculus is a huge
mass of gasses released from the binary star system within. The entire region
is merely a wondrous backdrop for travellers to the Hedge, as the UNH
considers it too costly to explore or inhabit at this time.

Communal Representative Authority of Kariss
● The Fringer government established on Kariss is built around an effort to serve its disparate
communities without imposing unneeded sanctions globally.
● Individual representatives from each area of expertise and region are surveyed regularly for
their input, and the prevailing opinion becomes law where it is needed, be it in a single
community or across the world.
● Current global laws and policies
