Part 1:
Background
Description of the Advocacy
Ending Poverty Together is a campaign to eradicate
poverty in all of its manifestations worldwide and reduce the
number of men, women, and children of all ages living in
poverty. Poverty is linked to a number of health hazards,
including an increased risk of heart disease, diabetes,
hypertension, cancer, infant mortality, mental illness,
undernutrition, lead poisoning, asthma, and dental
difficulties.
Related Literature
Poverty among children is a major public
health issue. Children must be given the best
possible start in life since early childhood
development creates the framework for later
health and development. Family income is an
important factor in a child's healthy growth.

resources have more stable living situations

and have access to a wider range of options than

children from low-income homes. Children from
low-income families or neighborhoods have inferior
health outcomes on average. Furthermore, poverty
has an impact on the health of children not just
when they are young, but also as adults (Gupta et
al., 2007).
Related Literature
The Philippines has a fairly high poverty rate with more than
16% of the population living below the poverty line. The low
educational level of household heads, affiliation in economically
unstable and risky occupations such as those in the agriculture,
fishery, and resource sectors, and those who are unskilled
laborers, the lack of health insurance, and a high dependency
burden are all significant factors that contribute to both chronic
and transient poverty and food poverty, according to Dacuycuy
and Lim (2014).
Related Literature

Their research also reveals that the Philippines'

vulnerability to poverty and food insecurity is
significant, particularly in rural areas and places
affected by armed conflict. Higher earnings, a new
employment, a plentiful crop, greater health, or the
receipt of remittance/inheritance reduce the likelihood
of a chronically poor household.
Related Literature
Global poverty is one of the world's most serious challenges
today. The world's poorest people are frequently hungry, have
limited access to education, frequently go without light at night,
and have poorer health. World Bank (n.d) reports that more than
a billion people live in severe poverty, with many more
experiencing hunger and being exposed to environmental or
price shocks. One of the world's most important but under-
addressed public health issues is undernutrition.
Related Literature

Nearly a third of children in underdeveloped

nations are underweight or stunted (having a short
stature for their age), and undernutrition is
responsible for one-third of all child fatalities.
Making progress against poverty is thus one of the
most pressing global objectives.
Part 2:
Project/Program
Description
Objectives of the Program
Our campaign aims to:

1.1 Alleviate the quality of living of people in the

community.
1.2 In ten (10) years, people have adequate knowledge
that will help them improve their socio economic status.
1.3 Improved the life of everyone especially those who are
suffering from poverty.
Target Audience of
the Program
The primary audience for this program is parents and the government.
The role of parents and the government in resolving this issue is
critical. This program would not only help raise awareness, but it
would also provide parents with insights into how poverty can have a
profound impact on their child's life, as well as make the government
aware of how poverty would affect them and its people in the future. In
order for this program to be successful, we would use a variety of
campaigning methods to get our message through.
Method

First, we will prepare all materials needed to educate and give

knowledge to other people about poverty. Preparing for the
contents and credibility of the advocacy needs a strong foundation
of ideas and prepare for all the outcoming all the time. It is better to
prepare everything that needs to meet the quality and standard to
educate people. Preparation from the beginning until the end can
lead to improve socio-status recovery and enhance poverty.
Method

Through social media platforms such as making a website,

through Facebook, posting videos on YouTube, and etc, all
people including men and women can have an equitable
access to economic resource and essential services. This
will enhance the quick widespread information about how to
improve the life of everyone.
Method

Second, we will create informative presentations, such as

infographic, videos, and articles to spread awareness. The
information that will be used must be factual, reliable, and
truthful at all times especially to this day where fake news and
misinformation are rampant. In creating this informative
presentation, we need to be meticulous to ensure that the aim
and moral lesson in the video will be delivered in a clear and
concise way.
Method

Lastly, we will share and invite people to read, watch and

listen to all information presented ahead of those social
media platforms to educate and become educated from all
those credible and factual sources.
Timeline

This project will last a year, with the first month dedicated to
the campaign's pre-launch. The campaign will go live on
the platforms we've chosen on the second, and the rest of
the year will be spent posting infographics, posters,
articles, and other campaign-related content on the sites
we've chosen. The remaining months will also be used to
track our campaign's success and appeal to our target
demographic.
