 JUMMA MASJID

This heritage buggy ride first stops at a

building of intricate decoration on wall and
ceilings which serves a tower with more
than 200 steps.

Jumma masjid also has 99 different names

of allah inscribed on their walls . A century
old giant clock, still in perfect working
condition, stands testimony to the
engineering marvel of ancient
times.

 GUMBAZ

This next stops at a mausoleum at the east

part of the town . This signifies as the
memorial of tipu’s parent.

Gumbaz holds the grave of Tipu and his

parents. The only place where you can see
persian style influence in Srirangapatna.
 NIMISHAMBA TEMPLE

Then it takes to nimishamba temple with a

history which 400 years back built by
mysore wadiyars.

There is a belief that Goddess Nimishamba

is going to remove all the problems and
troubles of her devotees within a minute.
That is why she is called Nimishamba.
Nimisha means a minute and Amba is the
name of Parvati.
 COLONEL BAILEY'S DUNGEON

The next stop is to explore one of tipu’s

great creation to confine the prisoners of
war . The dungeon played a major role in
the politics of mysore.

This dungeon held Colonel Bailey's for

short period of time in history through
which the name of dungeon arrived in to the
history.
 DARIA DAULAT BAGH

Next it stops amongst the teakwoods . Daria

daulat bagh serves as a palace made of
teakwood . the structure has interesting
style of architecture a culture mix.

Daria daulat bagh was built by the tiger of

mysore and later passed on to mysore
wadiyars.

Obelisk is not as frequented by tourists as
other nearby attractions in Srirangapatna.
Historically this sits on a very eventful
place during the siege of Srirangapatna.
