Depart from Kualalumbur International by MH 179 at 2200hrs .Arrived


at Colombo International Airport at 2255 hrs. Here, you will be met by a
designated guide. After the formalities at the airport, you will be escorted to
your air-conditioned vehicle and then proceed to Negombo.On completion,

Day 2 : 27/05/ 2023 NEGOMBO / DAMBULLA/SIGIRIYA (B L D )

Morning after breakfast Proceed to Dambulla .Visit Dambulla Cave Temple.


The Dambulla temple has five caves and 157 statues of the Lord Buddha,
many paintings on the ceilings and walls that emphasis the artistic talent of
ancient days. The history of the caves, rock and temple dates from the 1st
century BC. The fascination of these caves is not only the statues but also
the many intricate and delicate paintings that cover the ceiling and walls,
created with indigenous traditional paints. Because of the history,
archaeological and artistic implications, the premises were declared as one
of the UNESCO World Heritage sites in 1991. The temple has been in use for
over 22 centuries and still holds a sense of benevolence and spirituality.

Climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress.


Sigiriya Rock Fortress: Called by many names including “The Lion
Rock” for its initial name of “Sinhagiri”, Sigiriya is near the town of
Dambulla and is a colossal column of rock nearly 200m high. It was a
royal citadel for 18 years (477-495) when it was fortified by King
Kasyapa. The architectural and irrigational technologies of Sigiriya,
such as the Water Gardens, still baffle engineers. The climb up steep
steps of metal with railings passes a wall decorated with frescoes of
bare-breasted women. Art experts consider them unique.Check into

Day 3 : 28/05/ 2023 SIGIRIYA/MATALE/KANDY (B L D)

Morning after breakfast proceed to Kandy via Matale. En route visit the
Spice Garden. Spice Garden: See why Sri Lanka became a globally popular
country for its herbs and spices. The environment possesses excellent
conditions for growing cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, peppercorn, and other
flavorful delights. Learn about the process of growing these natural products
using ecologically friendly methods. At the end of your visit, stop in the
souvenir shop to purchase some exotic spices from the source. The
attraction offers free transport wherever needed between the city and the
estate. Note that the law strictly forbids harming cinnamon trees.Lunch at
Outside Restaurant .

Continue to Kandy .
Sightseeing in *Kandy, including Upper Lake Drive, Market Crafts Centre, Gem
Museum. Kandy the hill capital, venue of the annual Perahera the last
stronghold of the Sinhala Kings was finally ceded to the British in 1815.
Visit The Temple of the Sacred Tooth . The Temple of the Sacred Tooth (Sri
Dalada Maligawa) was originally built by the Kandyan Kings in 1595, to house
and honor the sacred tooth relic of the Buddha. Attracting crowds of white-
clad pilgrims bearing lotus flowers for means of worship, the Maligawa features
a myriad of intricate carvings that speak volumes of the architectural values of
Kandy. Today the City of Kandy is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in part
because of the Temple of the tooth relic.
Visit Royal Botanical Garden .
Royal Botanical Garden: Home to over 4000 species of plants including an
extensive collection of colorful orchids, medicinal plants, spices, palm trees and
more, these gardens annually attract nearly 2 million visitors. Greatly
contributing towards aspects such as floriculture, butterfly and birdlife
conservation and concentrating on the sustainability and biodiversity of the
island, Peradeniya Botanical Gardens is truly a paradise of tropical greenery,
with an abundance of bamboos, lianas and
lofty trees to wander amongst.

Experience the Kandy Cultural Show.


The Kandy Cultural Show gives an opportunity to experience some of the traditions
of Sri Lanka. Enjoy this hour-long extravaganza as some of the most popular art
forms of the island take to the stage. Be wowed by fire dancers and sword
dancers. Watch the colorful Kandyan dancers take to the air to the thrumming

Day 4 : 29/05/ 2023 KANDY/ NUWARA ELIYA (B L D)

After breakfast proceed to Kandy Station for a small journey on the train from
Kandy to Nuwara Eliya. [Travelling Time: 3 Hours Approx.
Experience a train ride from Kandy to Nanu Oya. The train trip from Kandy to
Nuwara Eliya (Nanu Oya Train Station) The scenery is amazing as you see
beautiful green hills covered of tea plantations, steep mountains, old lovely
bridges, waterfalls, small villages. Lunch at Outside Restaurant .
Learn about Tea Production. The production of tea involves a tedious
procedure of plucking, withering, rolling, oxidizing and drying – a process that
requires heavy machines and plenty of manpower. Once in the tea factory,
you would generally start out in the plantation itself to learn about how tea is
cultivated, then visit the factory where ancient machines pre-dating the
industrial revolution wither, roll and dry the tea. There is normally a little time at
the end of the tour for a tea tasting, either of one specific type of tea or
occasionally of the various specialties of that factory.Later explore the City of Nuwara Eliya.

Visit the highland city that was the premium holiday resort town of the British in
the 19th and early 20th centuries. Enjoy walking through the streets with their
pretty little cottages, quaint villas and beautiful mansions. Make a memory in the
old red-bricked post office as you purchase a postcard to take home or send to
your friends. Relax at Queen Victoria Park and on the shores of Lake

Day 5 : 30 /05/ 2023 NUWARA ELIYA / ELLA /Y (B L D )

Morning after breakfast Visit Seetha Amman Temple.


Seetha Amman temple the stream that runs from the hill, catered to the
needs of Sitadevi during her stay at Ashok Vatika. She is said to have
bathed in this stream. About a century ago of three idols was discovered in
the stream, one of which was that of Sita. It is believed that the idols have
been worshipped at this spot for centuries. Now there is temple for Lord
Rama, Sitadevi, Luxshmana, and Hanuman by the side of this stream. It is
interesting to note that footprints akin to Lord Hanuman's are found by this
river and some are of small size and some are of large size, which tells us of
the immense powers of hanuman transforming himself into any size.

Nine Arche Bridge & yala national park . Nine Arch Bridge is one of the
best examples of colonial-era railway construction in the country. The
construction of the bridge is generally attributed to a local Ceylonese
builder, P. K. Appuhami, in consultation with British engineers. The chief
designer and project manager of the 'upcountry railway line of Ceylon'
project was D. J. Wimalasurendra, a distinguished Ceylonese engineer
and inventor. The designer of the viaduct was Harold Cuthbert
Marwood of Railway Construction Department of Ceylon Government
Railway. The 1923 report titled "Construction of a Concrete Railway Viaduct in Ceylon" published by the
Engineering Association of Ceylon has details of all the records including the plans and drawings. On

Continue to Galle . Explore the Galle Fort. Galle is a historical jewel to Sri Lanka
wonderful to explore on foot. Among the endlessly exotic old trading port blessed
with imposing Dutch-colonial buildings, ancient mosques and churches, grand mansions
and museums the ancient Dutch fort which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site attracts
the hearts of tourists. Stroll around the ancient city where you will find a gourmet of
fancy restaurants and coffee shop to chill and relax. The beach side is surely a bliss
which will make you want to lock yourself up in this sun kissed island and indulge in the
sea breeze and endless blue waters. Continue to Bentota.On completion, check into

Day 7 : 01/06/2023 BENTOTA - COLOMBO (B L D )

Morning after breakfast proceed to Balapitiya for a Boat Safari at Madhu River.
Madu River Ride - Enjoy a scenic cruise along the Madu River, a relaxing trip with
plenty of interesting stops. You pass dozens of islets forested with mangroves and
can appreciate the timeless natural rhythms of rural life. You cruise in canopies,
outboard motors powered boats, en route take in the view of a 200-year-old
temple and watch the local’s cultivating cinnamon. You may also see traditional
fishing techniques in action and can view demonstrations of coir manufacture
and rope making. You can also see 46 species of birds reside in the area
including 14 aquatic varieties. You will also spot huge water lilies and colorful
butterflies.

Visit the Turtle Hatchery.


Turtle Hatchery in Sri Lanka has a couple of places on the island which are
synonymous for turtle hatchery and conservation. These nice places are a special
treat if you are an animal enthusiast. The coastal area of the island is where you
should head to witness a turtle hatchery -where turtle eggs are being hatched and

Day 8 : 02/06/2023 Colombo / Airport ( B L D)

Morning after tasty breakfast explore the City of Colombo.


The city tour of Colombo a drive through the city taking you to the busy commercial
areas as well as the tree lined residential, Cinnamon Gardens, Visit Fort, the former
British administrative centre and military garrison, Sea Street - the Goldsmiths quarters
in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area, where is also a Hindu Temple with
elaborate stone carvings, and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749.
Also visit the BMICH, see the replica of Avukana Buddha & the Independence
Square.

› Climate
Tropical monsoon, northeast monsoon (December to March), southwest monsoon (June to October)
Sri Lanka is tropical, with distinct dry and wet seasons. The seasons are slightly complicated by having two
monsoons.

- From May to August the Yala monsoon brings rain to the island’s southwestern half, while the dry
season here lasts from December to March.
The southwest has the highest rainfall – up to 4000mm a year. The Maha monsoon blows from October
to January, bringing rain to the North and East, while the dry season is from May to September.
- The North and East are comparatively dry, with around 1000mm of rain annually. There is also an inter-
monsoonal period in October and November when rain can occur in many parts of the island.
- Colombo and the low-lying coastal regions have an average temperature of 27°C. At Kandy (altitude
500m), the average temperature is 20°C, while Nuwara Eliya (at 1889m) has a temperate 16°C average.
The sea stays at around 27°C all year.
› Credit Cards
- MasterCard and Visa are the most commonly accepted credit cards at many hotels and shops. No
surcharge should be permitted for its use.
- Cash advances are possible against Credit Cards in certain banks.
- Other major cards such as American Express and Diners Club are also accepted at certain properties.
› Medical Facilities
- There are many public and private hospitals, nursing homes and other institutions providing medical services
throughout the country.
- The professional standards of doctors, surgeons and other medical professionals are on par with
international standards. The Major health care institutions found in Colombo.
› Clothing
- Light cotton dresses/cloths are most suited.
- A wide-brimmed beach hat and sunglasses, comfortable shoes/sandals.
- In the hill country a Pullover is advisable.
- Long trousers/Shoes for gents are preferred by hotels during dinner. Shorts also can be worn, but you
have to check with hotel reception.
› Swimming & Sunbathing
- We do not recommend swimming in the ocean if a RED flag is displayed. If there is a RED flag, this
means there are strong waves, currents and it is unsafe.
- Please be careful when going out in the sun for the first few days of your holiday, as the tropical sun
can cause sunburns. Always use a high factor sun cream and remember to drink plenty of bottled water.
› Tipping
- Tipping is customary, but not obligatory. In restaurants and hotels a 10% service charge is
automatically added to your bill. However, if you feel that you have enjoyed very good service, an
additional ti p can be considered. You may wish to leave your hotel tipping until your departure, as most
hotels often pool all tips amongst all staff. For Guests who are on tour, should you wish to tip your
driver/guide, the amount is entirely at your discretion.
› Wildlife and Nature
- Visits to National Parks will be at client's own risk. Always follow guides and trackers instructions when
inside national parks.
- Please note that the game drives can be quite uncomfortable as drivers have maneuver in rustic
roadsand paths furthermore Safari Jeeps are non-air-conditioned.
COST VARIATION
The package cost is based on current airfare, airport taxes and other relevant cost and is
subject tochange with the introduction of any new taxes, surcharges and foreign exchange
fluctuations etc ifany. Local government taxes and interstate permit charges can be
changed even after your tour departure.

DEVIATION / ADDITIONAL COST


In event of any deviation or additional usage of transportation or extra charges in hotels
incurred during the tour, the additional cost shall be borne by the client (s) and paid
directly tothe relevant person concerned.
Also any cost arising due to natural calamities like, landslides, road blockage, political
disturbances, etc to be borne by the client, which is directly payable on the spot.

In the event of flight delay or cancellation requiring oneself to extend his/her stay in hotel(s), thecost shall be
