Introduction
 Birds are a group of warm-blooded vertebrates constituting the class Aves,
characterised by feathers, toothless beaked jaws, the laying of hard-shelled eggs,
a high metabolic rate, a four-chambered heart, and a strong yet lightweight
skeleton.
 Bird’s size range from a few centimetres to a few metres.
Birds are specially famous because of their wingspan. These are the wings that
made them fly for several years.
Wingspan
 The wingspan is the distance between one wingtip to the other wingtip.

Wandering Albatross

•It has a wingspan of 363-370 centimeters.

•It nests on islands near the Antarctic


circle and on some islands in the South
Atlantic .
Pelican
•It has a wingspan of 220-350 centimeters.

•Modern Pelicans are found on all


continents except Antarctica, they
primarily inhabit warm regions.
Trumpeter Swan
•It has a wingspan of 185 - 250
centimeters.
•It is found in North America.
Pigeon
•It has a wingspan of 64-72 centimeters.

•They live in almost every part of the


world, they also inhabit forests such as
rainforests, temperate deciduous forests,
swamp forests and arboreal forests.
Elf Owl
• It has a wingspan of 38centimeters.

•It is found in the Southwestern United States,


Central Mexico, and the Baja California
peninsula.
House Sparrow
•It has a wingspan of 19 to 25 centimeters.

•It is found in most parts of the world.


Goldcrest
•This bird has a wingspan of 14
centimeters.
•It is found in the Himalayas and Japan. In
autumn seasons, it can be found in the
Scandinavia and the near-Continent
arriving on the east coast of Britain.
Bee Hummingbird
•It has a wingspan of 5.5 centimeters.

•It is only found in Cuba.
