LIQUOR TEST

(ALCOHOL DETERMINATION TEST)


WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS
TEST?

 To determine whether or not a person is


intoxicated with liquor.

 This test is being conducted to determine


the amount of ethyl alcohol present in the
blood sample taken from the person
suspected to have been intoxicated with
alcohol.
LABORATORY EXAMINATION

 Quantitative examination is
conducted to determine the amount of
ethyl alcohol present in the blood.
SIGNIFICANCE OF DETERMINING
WHETHER A PERSON IS INTOXICATED
WITH ALCOHOL
 Intoxication is an alternative circumstance must be taken
into consideration as aggravating or mitigating according to
the nature and effects of the crime and the other conditions
attending its commission.
 The intoxication of the offender shall be taken into
consideration as a mitigating circumstance when the
offender has committed a felony in a state of intoxication, if
the same is not habitual or subsequent to the plan to commit
said felony; but when the intoxication is habitual or
intentional, it shall be considered as an aggravating
circumstance.
