INTRODUCTION

Many people are faced with everyday computer

problems that are easy to fix, but are unable to
diagnose the actual problem. While there are
many problems a computer will be faced with,
this information sheet will tell you where to
look for common problems.

A diagnostic program is a program written for the express
purpose of locating problems with the software,
hardware, or any combination thereof in a system, or a
network of systems. Preferably, diagnostic programs
provide solutions to the user to solve issues.

 Diagnostics that are run on-demand when a user needs
assistance, typically within the primary operating
system of the computer (e.g. Windows)
 "Off-line diagnostics" that are run outside the primary
operating system, typically to reduce the masking
influence of software on hardware issues

www.facebook.com/itsmeismael
 Background diagnostics that monitor the system for
failures and marginal events, and provide statistical data
for failure prediction, and root cause analysis of actual
failure conditions
 Solutions-oriented diagnostics, which diagnose and
resolve user-perceived issues with a computer system.

Diagnostic Software is very important for us to
diagnose different kinds of system error, either
hardware or software. Determining error, mainly
system errors can be diagnosed by using diagnostic
apps.

provides limited functionality in maintaining disk performance by
defragmenting volumes that use the FAT, FAT32, or NTFS file system.

To start Disk Defragmenter MMC, use one of the methods that is described
in this info sheet

www.facebook.com/itsmeismael

MDSCHED.EXE RAM DIAGNOSTIC TOOL

RAM sticks, known for their chip creep and random

failures, are among the more annoying pieces of
hardware to pinpoint as the source of a technical issue.
Before you start digging around in the tower, it's best
to start with a quick and free memory check via
Windows. This way, you'll know whether or not it's
worth swapping around sticks of RAM to see which one
the useless is.

Here's how to get started:

Open the Start

Menu and type in
mdsched.exe, then
press enter.

www.facebook.com/itsmeismael Using Windows Seven OSe

A pop-up will appear on your screen, asking how
you'd like to go about checking the memory. The
first option will restart your machine and check
the memory right now, and the second option
checks the next time you choose to reboot. Pick
the option that best suits your needs.

www.facebook.com/itsmeismael
Your computer will load a screen that shows
the progress of the check and number of
passes it will run on the memory. Watch the
memory diagnostic tool for errors. If there are
no errors, then it's likely that your RAM is not
causing any issues, and it's time to investigate
other hardware or software issues.

HOW TO CLEAN YOUR WINDOWS
REGISTRY USING CCLEANER

www.facebook.com/itsmeismael
CCleaner also lets you clean the Windows
Registry, a database which stores configuration
information, and hardware and software settings on
your system. Every time you alter basic system
configuration information, install software or
perform other routine tasks, these changes are
reflected and stored in the Windows Registry.

www.facebook.com/itsmeismael
Over time, however, the Windows Registry accumulates
outdated configuration information and settings,
including traces of obsolete programs.
The CCleaner Registry option lets you scan and remove
such information, improving the overall function and
speed of your system, as well as protecting your digital
privacy and security.
Tip: A scan of the Windows Registry should be
performed on a monthly basis.

As a precautionary measure before you begin fixing
the Windows Registry, you will be prompted to save
a backup file of your registry. If a problem occurs
after the Windows Registry has been cleaned, you
may restore the Windows Registry to its original
state using this backup file.
