I am very happy with this photo as I think it is an interesting photo which shows

concealment. The modal drew an x to cover the face, linking to the theme
concealment. In my original idea, I had wanted the x to cross the entire face out
however did not give enough exposure time for this to happen. While it did not work
out how I had planned, I actually really like the outcome and preferred it to the
others. The line across the face still shows concealment and the chaos of the light
makes the modal more concealed. The picture is filled with blue light and when
editing, I made the lines brighter and the blacks stronger.

This shows concealment as the face can not be fully

made out. You can see a head to each side and a blur of
light in the middle but none of it is identifiable. I like it
as the strong red stands out against the black and the
face isn't as strong of as image.

I think this photo shows concealment well as the face is completely covered by the light but
the modal can still be seen. When editing, I cropped the image and increased the blacks in the
background. The frame is full of light which makes the photo feel quite busy and chaotic.
This could be improved by controlling the light a little more, keeping it closer to the face so
the background isn't filled with light.
I used a blue and green light for this photo but the outcome shows a bright blue and white as
well. While this is nice, it makes the photo even more crowded.

This is my favourite photo that I took in my shoot. It shows

concealment with the red light covering the eyes which links to a
key connotation of identity, or rather, a lack of. By covering the eyes
the modal become anonyms. I increased the blacks in editing which
draws full focus to the modal and makes the surroundings seem
empty. When thinking about concealment, thoughts of loneliness
pop up which I think is shown in the darkness of the surroundings.
