Procedure
Save key of Material Handling Equipment
Purpose
• Easy to search key of Material Handling Equipment
• Avoid someone without a valid license using Material
Handling Equipment without the knowledge of safety and
security personnel
• Makes it easy to track MHE usage with Log book key
records
Procedure
• All forklifts keys are kept by security post B and C.
• Key collection must be written in the log book
provided at each security post B and C with
information on CBT or RR number and what time
of collection.
• When on duty, the operator must leave the MHE
for some reason, the key will be removed and kept
by the operator until he returns to work to
complete his shift.
• When the work shift has been completed, each
operator will return the key to each security post B
and C and record the key return hours in the log
book.
Things that are forbidden
• Leaving the keys on the dashboard when getting
off the MHE.
• Handing over the keys knowingly to someone else
who is not authorized to use MHE.
• Not handing over the key to security as the MHE
key keeper when the work shift has ended.
• Using keys improperly.
