sexual contact. It is caused by bacteria or viruses that can be
passed from one person to another during sexual intercourse

is a pathogen that causes an STI (AIDS)
If HIV is not treated effectively, in about 10 years after initial infection, it could result
in symptoms of AIDS
which stands for Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome
HIV can spread by
1)sharing needles with an infected person
2 blood transfusions with infected blood
3) from mother to fetus through the placenta
4)mother to baby via breastfeeding.
