Capiz State University’s Overview
Capiz State University is a non-profit public university situated in Roxas City, a tiny city in
Western Visayas with a population of between 50,000 and 249,999 people. Branch campuses of this
university are located in Dayao, Pontevedra, Pilar, Burias, Mambusao, Sigma, Dumarao, and Tapaz.
Officially accredited by the Philippine Commission on Higher Education, Capiz State University
(CAPSU) enrolls between 6,000 and 6,999 students in coeducational classes. A wide range of academic
degrees are available at Capiz State University (CAPSU), including pre-bachelor, bachelor, master, and
doctoral degrees in many fields of study. CAPSU only accepts a few number of students each year
depending on their performance on the university's entrance exams and their prior academic
achievements. Approximately 70 to 80 percent of applicants are accepted into this Philippine university,
making it a fairly selective school. CAPSU also offers a library, accommodation, sports facilities,
financial assistance and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative
