Introduction
 Although the demand for use of information technology within
the healthcare industry is intensifying, relatively little has been
written about guidelines to optimize IT investments. A
technology architecture is a set of guidelines for technology
integration within an enterprise. The architecture is a critical
tool in the effort to control information technology (IT)
operating costs by constraining the number of technologies
supported. A well-designed architecture is also an important aid
to integrating disparate applications, data stores and networks.
The authors led the development of a thorough, carefully
designed technology architecture for a large and rapidly
growing health care system. The purpose and design criteria are
described, as well as the process for gaining consensus and
disseminating the architecture. In addition, the processes for
using, maintaining, and handling exceptions are described. The
technology architecture is extremely valuable to health care
organizations both in controlling costs and promoting
integration.
The Future Hospitals
IN HEALTHCARE WORLDWIDE, PRICES GO UP, MEDICINE IS NOT
READY TO EMBRACE THE NEW TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS.
THERE ARE HUGE WAITING LIST.
PATIENTS SOMETIMES LOSE NOT ONLY HOURS BUT DAYS
FROM WORK BECAUSE HOW HOSPITALS WORK NORMALLY

Need to redesign it, A company call NXT health has done

an amazing job about designing the future waiting rooms or
future patent rooms. How the would be constructed or what
they would like in real life.
What other things we could include in the hospital of future.
A BBC DOCUMENTARY AIRED IN THE 1950S
FEATURED HUGE LAMPS IN THE OPERATING
ROOM. THEY SAID THE MEDICAL RECORD COULD
GET TO THE DOCTOR SOONER THAN THE ACTUAL
PATIENT. QUITE FUTURISTIC THINGS, RIGHT?
IF THE HOSPITAL OF THE FUTURE WILL NOT BE OUR
HOME, IT SHOULD INCLUDE A FEW NEW ELEMENTS.
NO WAITING TIME WILL HARDEN THE LIVES OF
PATIENTS AS COGNITIVE COMPUTERS WILL ORGANIZE
ALL THE DETAILS OF THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM. IT’LL
DIRECT PEOPLE WHEN & WHERE TO GO BY ANALYZING
THEIR RECORDS, AND AUTOMATICALLY RESPONDING TO
DOCTORS’ NOTES & PRESCRIPTIONS.
EXTRAPOLATION FROM TODAY’S TRENDS, IT IS CLEAR, SOPHISTICATED
MEDICAL ROBOTS, SURGICAL ROBOTS WILL RULE THE SCENES OF OPERATING
ROOMS. ALTHOUGH NOT ALL OPERATING ROOMS WILL INCLUDE SURGICAL
ROBOTS AS THERE WILL STILL BE OPERATIONS THAT COULD NOT BE
PERFORMED USING ONLY ROBOTS.
DEVICES & EQUIPMENT OF RADIOLOGY, SURGERY AND MANY OTHER
SPECIALTIES FROM CT SCANS TO ENDOSCOPIC TECHNOLOGIES WILL BE SO
SMALL THEY WOULD ALL FIT IN OPERATING ROOM.
