    Alif is a student who dreams of attending a prestigious high school and university but is instead sent to a pesantren (Islamic boarding school) in Ponorogo, East Java by his mother. At the pesantren, Alif initially feels alone but eventually befriends five other students known as the "Sahibul Menara" or "Owners of the Minaret". They bond over their dreams of conquering the world. Under the guidance of their teacher Ustad Salman, the six students are motivated to work hard and achieve their goals through the mantra "Man Jadda Wajada" which means those who try will succeed.

    SINOPIS
    Alif (Gazza Zubizareta) is a simple child who has just
    graduated from junior high school in Maninjau. Together
    with his best friend Randai (Sakurta Ginting), Alif wants to
    continue high school in Bandung and then enter his ideal
    campus, ITB. But dreams are only dreams when Amaknya
    (Lulu Tobing) wants Alif to enter Pondok Madani, an
    Islamic boarding school in the corner of Ponorogo, East
    Java. Although at first Alif didn't want to, in the end Alif
    took care of his parents, albeit half-heartedly.
    Initially, Alif was mostly alone. However, as time
    went on, Alif began to befriend one-room
    friends, namely Baso (Billy Sandy) from Gowa,
    Atang (Rizky Ramdani) from Bandung, Said
    (Ernest Samudera) from Surabaya, Raja (Jiofani
    Lubis) from Medan, and Dulmajid (Aris Putra)
    from Madura. The six of them always gather at
    the minaret of the mosque and call themselves
    the Sahibul Menara or the owners of the
    minarets.
    The atmosphere was getting warmer in the first grade, when
    Alif was jolted by an excited shout from Ustad Salman (Donny
    Alamsyah): Man Jadda Wajada! It means, who is serious will
    succeed. This "mantra" added to the enthusiasm and
    persistence of the six children.

    The sahibul of the tower always think visionary and have big
    goals. They each have the ambition to conquer the world. From
    the land of Indonesia, America, Europe, Asia to Africa. Under
    the tower of Madani, they are a group and are determined to be
    able to conquer the world and achieve their goals; And become
    a great person who can benefit many people.
    HONEYMON
    PERIOD

    At this time Alfi was happy


    he felt that he would have a
    new experience, namely
    attending his favorite school
    CULTURE SHOCK
    This Discene Alfi felt
    disappointed because he did
    not go to school at his favorite
    junior high school but his
    parents instead put him in a
    remote village which culturally
    and habitually were very
    different, he too was shocked
    by the culture and language or
    the regulations in his house
    INITIAL ADJUSTMENT

    At this time Alfi has


    accepted all cultural
    differences and all the
    existing regulations in his
    lodgings, he has begun to
    be motivated and get
    along with his friends.
    MENTAL
    ISOLATION
    At this time Alfi felt down
    again because one of his
    close friends left the hut,
    he who was initially
    motivated now feels
    down and avoids his
    friends and is more often
    alone.
    ACCEPTANCE AND INTEGRATION

    This Discene Alfi began


    to accept all the
    circumstances he had
    returned with his friends
    by doing all his activities
    normally without feeling
    pressured.
