FREQUENCY ADVERBS

 We use adverbs of frequency to say how often


you do something.

 We use frequency adverbs to describe how often


something happens. Different frequency adverbs
describe different levels of frequency:

Grammar:

Position:

1- In (+) sentences the adverbs of frequency go between the subject and the
verb.

Example:

I always have break at home.

2- Verb to be: adverbs of frequency go after the verb
to-be:

3- Negative sentences:

 Example:

I don’t usually have lunch at home.

4- Sometimes and usually can go at the beginning.

 Examples:

I sometimes go to restaurants.

5- Never: this adverbs of frequency uses
affirmatives sentences.

 Example: 

I never go to parties.

6- 3rd person rule (he/she/it)

 Examples:
