This mid-term program is a part of “Project for training and refresher

training of leaders and managers at different levels, especially the


strategic one” agreed by CCOP and JICA

Mid-term training and research program


in Japan
Outline of the Mid-term program
National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies(GRIPS) is responsible for managing
and organizing this Mid-term Training Program with the support of Japan
International Cooperation Agency (JICA) .

Purpose : ・ To enhance skills and knowledge of leadership and policy


development.
・ To write a policy proposal on specific issues of public administrative
and economic reforms for Viet Nam.
Participants: ・ Director or Deputy director of central ministries and provincial
departments of Viet Nam (relatively young / mid-carrier officers) .
・ Fluent in English ( participants will attend GRIPS classes with Master and PhD
students as well as write policy paper and discuss in English.)
・ Maximum 5 participants.
Contents: Lectures, visits, and research (writing policy paper).

Schedule: 3 months
Sep. 29(Thu)2022: Arriving Tokyo →Dec. 23(Fri)2022: Leaving Tokyo

Preparation
・   June-July: Recruiting candidates in Viet Nam.
・   July 22nd: DOT makes a shortlist of candidates for GRIPS.
・   July 26th – Aug 5th: Interview with applicants via Zoom to select participants.
・   Aug-Sep: Arrangement of international flight and accommodation by JICE.
