Week 10 Topic:
The Next Step is…
Planning the Solution
After evaluated the business idea fully and it has
passed the feasibility check, then it’s time to make a
plan so you can bring the solution to life.

Planning is an important part of turning business

ideas into reality.
What to Include in the Plan
• Break the big idea or solution down into specific goals that
will enable you to achieve it.

• Ensure you know exactly what you need to do to

accomplish those goals, then you’ll be able to implement
your idea.

• Implementing is a process that takes time. It’s a day-by-

day set of smaller actions that you continually accomplish
larger goals.
What to Include in the Plan
• Planning and tracking goals is important

• Give deadline

• Have the self-discipline

• Create a goal sheet or map

Goal Sheet/Goal Map
Break the big idea down into the following:

1. Large goals: Place these on the top.

2. Medium-term goals: Add these below

3. Short-term goals: These help you move toward the

larger goals.

4. Daily goals: These are at the bottom

Hacking Your Brain
• Hacking your brain = push your brain to become
more creative and innovative.

• Push your brain to the absolute limit to continually

ask more questions, identify more problems,
and generate more creative and effective
solutions in society and your life.
Hacking Your Brain
Six ways to inspire and push your brain to be more creative:

1. Continually learning, including in areas where you’re not an

expert
2. Embracing the power of change, and having new experiences
daily
3. Engaging in travel
4. Looking after yourself, including exercise, diet, and sleep
5. Thinking positively
6. Letting yourself be bored
Engage in Continual Learning

The continual learning process will arm you with more

information and more opportunities to identify ideas, so you
can keep improving

It’s important to learn what you’re passionate about and keep

taking in information.

Have a topic to learn about, you have a goal to accomplish,

and you know how to get there, then you’ll be on your way to
achieving your learning goals.

A visual way to lay out what you’re learning (the brain), your goal for the learning (the
heart), and how you’re going to learn it (the hand).
Learning about things
you’re not an expert in

The advantages of exposing yourself to things you’re not familiar

with can be helpful in the idea-finding process;

• Since you have little base knowledge, you’ll enter the learning
process without the same stigmas as an expert.

• You can take your expert knowledge from other areas and apply
it to the field you’re learning about
Embrace Change and New Thing

• Change is a powerful tool in creating improvements and inspiring creativity

(e.g. change in working location, your daily tasks, or the way you do
something).

• When you do the same thing or repeat the same process over and over
again, you become immune to its potential problems, improvements, or
insights.

• When you change your process or situation, your brain takes note of the
new situation and becomes incredibly aware. It analyzes the potential
places for improvement and increases in efficiency
Embrace Travel

Traveling can be done in many ways, and each can have a

positive effect.

There are four main types of travel:

1. Local travel (cycling, city sight-seeing, etc)
2. Regional travel
3. National travel
4. International travel
Look After Your Body

• If you don’t take care of your body, then your brain can’t
function optimally either.

• To keep your brain in top format, you need to look after

your body too, which means getting regular exercise,
sleep, and good nutrition.
Think Positively

• Being positive has many benefits:

- Improving your overall health, immunity, resilience,

creativity, performance, and happiness levels.
- Make you feel better both physically and mentally.
- It reduces stress and helps you achieve your goals.
- It helps you come up with more creative and
innovative ideas.
Think Positively
Some ways to improve your positivity:

• Surround yourself with positive people.

• Engage in self-conversations that are uplifting. Being positive

starts with being positive about yourself.

• Start by changing your mindset and saying, “I can do this.”

Never say, “I’m not creative enough/good enough.”

• Be kind and have gratitude for your life and what you have.
Let Yourself Be Bored

• When you’re bored, your mind will begin to entertain you.

• It forces your brain to roam and think about things.

• You’ll begin to tackle problems or subjects in your head.

• A lot of creativity can happen when you’re bored,

A Run Through of the Entire Process
The Full Run Through
• Identifying a problem, need, or want

• Asking questions

• Finding and erasing stigmas

• Coming up with ideas for a possible solution

• Doing a feasibility check

• Sharing the idea with others

• Making a plan of action
