What is Basketry?
Is a craft of making
objects by weaving or
coiling together
materials like grasses
or twigs. The resulting
objects are called
Baskets.

Basketry played important role in the
gathering, storage and preparation of
food. Baskets were used to gather
roots,berries,shellfish and other foods.
Sturdy burden baskets capable of
holding large and heavy loads were
worn on the back and carried using a
tumpline.
