AND ROAD SAFETY GROUP 1 Are you concerned about traffic and road safety? What are your concerns? How can you make road travel safer?
• Traffic and road safety is an important
development goal, as roads serve as a medium for economic activity and connect a nation together. • Our concerns lie with the terrible quality of roads in certain areas, and inefficient traffic management which leads to huge jams. Public enforcement of rules is also a slight issue, but not as tough to fix. • The more traffic, and the worse the road quality, higher are the chances of an accident. • We can rebuild roads to endure the hot and cold weather easily and use more roundabouts and diverging diamond exchanges as they reduce chances of collision. Their effectiveness has already been proven. • Separate lanes for ambulances and ensuring animal safety on roads. Slogans “Be sober, if you don’t want your life to be over” “If a long future you can foresee, remember road safety is key” “In case you have a head, you need a helmet!” “Before you drive, Check the lights ..Once..twice….and thrice!” “Use your eyes to secure your head” Secure your seatbelt at all costs, Don’t think of being sloshed, is your safety being tossed!
