Eating Disorders
Is an obsession with food and
weight that’s harms a persons
well- being. People with eating
disorders does not want to gain
weight. It starts in teen but may
begin as early 8 yrs. old.
Main Eating Disorders
ANOREXIA NERVOSA
Being obsessed with
being thin. They don’t
want to eat and they are
afraid to gain weight.
Main Eating Disorders
BULIMIA NERVOSA
Eating a lot of food at once and then
throwing up using laxative, diuretics
and self- induce vomiting to remove
the food from the body. People with
Bulimia Nervosa may also use diet
pills to control their weight.
Main Eating Disorders
BINGE EATING
Is an eating disorder in which a person
cannot control eating, and eats too much
amount of food. Binge eating is a common
cause of obesity. OBESITY is excessive
fats accumulated in the body. It is one of the
risk factors for a number of chronic diseases
including Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease
and Cancer.
Serious Signs:
1.Fainting
2.Throwing up after meal.
3.Refusing to eat.
4.Not having periods.
5.Increased anxiety about
weight.
ANOREXIA and BULIMIA CAN CAUSE:
1. STOMACH PROBLEM
2. HEART PROBLEM
3. DRY SCALY SKIN
4. KIDNEY PROBLEM
5. DEHYDRATION
6. DENTAL PROBLEMS
