What is a solar tracker?

What can we benefit from this?

Why make energy?

Why ?

People employed primary energy resources to

obtain goods as innovation increased. they required
electricity. Various types of primary energy sources,
such as nuclear, energy and fuels, such as coal, natural
gas, and oil. Over the previous few years, people have
employing this renewable energy source to meet their
needs for electricity. Renewable resources can also be
found in the forms of hydroelectric, geothermal, wind,
and solar energy. be revitalized by utilizing nature itself.
LOCAL USE
In our own city

Renewable energy using technology specifically in an

autonomous manner Solar energy is the most commonly used
renewable energy in Cagayan de Oro City.
Since 2004, CEPALCO has operated the Philippines' first solar
photovoltaic power plant, which uses 6,480 solar panels to generate
one megawatt of electricity from the sun every day.
The researchers want to know how much energy is generated in a
day. by using an automated solar tracking panel to provide energy
current for the generator
COMPARISON
Why solar tracking works better than the traditional way?

TRADITIONAL
SOLAR TRACKING
INSTALLATION
 The sun is constantly moving, not using the max  Extra moving parts but MORE POWER
potential of the sun
 HIGHER EFFICENCY than the traditional way
 Easy to install but lacks power. MORE POWER
 Uses the full potential of the sun
SOLAR TRACKING
Solar trackers are rising in popularity, but not everyone understands
the complete benefits and potential drawbacks of the system. Solar panel
tracking solutions are a more advanced technology for mounting
photovoltaic panels. Stationary mounts, which hold panels in a fixed
position, can have their productivity compromised when the sun passes to
a less-than-optimal angle. Compensating for this, solar trackers
automatically move to “track” the progress of the sun across the sky,
thereby maximizing output.

It’s a great and effective system for energy output, but there are a few
considerations to bear in mind before pursuing one for a particular jobsite.
ADVANTAGE
 Trackers generate more electricity than their stationary
counterparts due to increased direct exposure to solar rays.

This increase can be as much as 10 to 25% depending on the

geographic location of the tracking system.
There are many different kinds of solar trackers, such as single-
axis and dual-axis trackers, all of which can be the perfect fit for
a unique jobsite. Installation size, local weather, degree of
latitude and electrical requirements are all important
considerations that can influence the type of solar tracker best
suited for a specific solar installation.
ADVANTAGE
 Solar trackers generate more electricity in roughly the same
amount of space needed for fixed-tilt systems, making them ideal
for optimizing land usage.

In certain states, some utilities offer Time of Use (TOU) rate plans
for solar power, which means the utility will purchase the power
generated during the peak time of the day at a higher rate. In this
case, it is beneficial to generate a greater amount of electricity
during these peak times of the day.
ADVANTAGE
 Using a tracking system helps maximize the energy gains during
these peak time periods.

Advancements in technology and reliability in electronics and

mechanics have drastically reduced long-term maintenance
concerns for tracking systems.

Homeowners in remote areas

 It is a fact that there are hinterland areas that are not reached or serviced by electricity
providers. And because of that, they rely on renewable energy such as solar energy for
them to have supply of power.
 Installing solar power systems can provide homeowners with a number of advantages,
including decreased electric bills, reduced carbon footprints, and possibly increased
home values. However, these advantages frequently have high installation and upkeep
costs, and the size of the gains might differ greatly from one home to the next.

 Solar technology helps businesses and industries diversify their energy sources,
increase productivity, and cut costs. Solar photovoltaic and concentrating solar power
technologies are used by utilities and energy producers to generate electricity on a
large scale to power cities and small towns.
