Definition: the blank area of a layout
Purpose: to highlight the main point
and to create bonds between contents
● Negative space? White space?
○ Negative spaces don’t need to be in the color
white.

○ This term stands for all blank spaces in a
design
Importance
○ Without negative space— distract the
viewers by the messy and pointless layout
