and reflect on their responsibilities towards the global community.

Lesson Context:
This lesson will take place during the two weeks following final exams where my Grade 9
students are in class but all work is ungraded. The lesson is designed as a “mini lesson”
taking place during the first class period of a double-period block; if more time is needed or
there is further student interest, the lesson can expand into the next period, or even become a
lesson series over the following days.
