Outline:
● Global warming
● Climate change
● Transnational Migration

Content:
As all current governments have acknowledged, global warming and climate change can have significant effects on the lives of their
residents. These two variables are being recognized as leading factors for governance in the majority of countries.
Global warming. According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency's (2012) definition of the procedure:
The Sun provides energy for the Earth's climate. Solar radiation, or the energy from the Sun, is primarily taken in by the Earth,
however a portion is also reflected into outer space. An organic layer of atmospheric gases traps a certain amount of reflected solar
energy, forcing the majority of it back to Earth while subsequently distributing some of it into space. Somewhere, it heats up the
surface of the Earth, causing the "greenhouse effect" to occur naturally.

Several of the identified and anticipated effects of global warming include rising sea levels, an expansion in wildfire activity, serious
droughts, a rise in the recurrence of severe storms across many regions, flooding, and increased weather variability are all effects of
climate change. In most places, the warmer temperatures can also lead to health consequences because of the emergence of vector-
borne illnesses like malaria and dengue, as well as an increase in the incidence of heatstroke and skin conditions.

Even though the majority of these listed dangers and impacts are physical and environmental in nature, they also have an impact on
people's social lives. The attitude of the community that lives there can be significantly changed by changes in the environment.
Some communities have been seen to rapidly urbanize as a result of the loss of farmland due to drought, as farmers and their
families move to the city to adjust to a different way of life. It may be necessary to increase either the birth rate or the migration rate
in order to maintain population control measures due to the rise in mortality rates in individuals impacted by vector-borne diseases.
Transnational migration is the manner by which people move for social, political, or economic purposes from one country to
another. Transnational migration has increased over the past few decades as a result of the world becoming more globalized and
technology becoming more advanced, facilitating easier transfer. Rudolph Borne's concept of transnational migration was used to
describe new immigrants in a particular nation in 1910. Whether it's in-migration or out-migration, the ongoing movement of people
causes social changes in societies because it alters the population composition of those societies.

The situation of OFWs in various geographical locations is among the best examples of transnational migration. The underlying
reasons of this high percentage of relocation situations between Filipinos are their families and developmental problems. "On
average, 3 400 Filipinos abandon every day to find employment abroad, over a million per year, to join the nearly ten million
Filipinos (out of 90 million) that have left the Philippines, distributed around the world. Unemployment and poverty are widespread
problems in the Philippines. This circumstance motivates them to seek out better jobs and lifestyles abroad. As there is no guarantee
of success or development, transnational migration is a significant leap and struggle for Filipinos.

Knowledge

Instruction: Students will voice out their standpoint and opinion on OFWs.
