The word “ network” is composed of two words brought together. “ net” and work”. It is was coined to
mean “ working like a net,” which when visualized, is a combination of lines that work as one.
NetMaps, short for Network Maps, is a stakeholder mapping tool that shows the visualization of
connections, linkages, and level of influence and goals of various interested parties in a given issue or
problem
Evaluating Learning
Given the situations above showing how the network society permeate the very fabric of our lives,
especially on interpersonal relations, what are the instances where you can say that have experienced
the rise ( or now, the infusion) of the network society?

OVERVIEW
This part of the book enlightens learners on how networks, especially their own, can be used to respond
to local and global issues. It also allows them to put forth suggestions on how to find solutions to the
issues identified.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) defines climate change as a term
encompassing a board range of changes happening to our planet, such as global warming, rising sea
levels, shrinking mountain glaciers, accelerating ice melts and shifts in the blooming and harvest times of
flowers and plants, among many others.
Migration
What is migration?
Utilizing its simplest definition, migration is the movement of people from one place to another. This
phenomenon is as old 2 million years ago when the first humans migrated from Africa to settle in Europe
and Asia.
