Summary of Kamos Gasket for Pipeline

Kamos Gasket for Pipeline

Advantages of KAMOS Gasket

• ASME B31.8 requires the pipeline system to be hydrotested & leak tested
• Typically, components for pipeline systems will be hydrotested separately e.g onshore pre
fabricated spools, pre installed risers, flexible flowlines, subsea pipeline sections.
• KAMOS allows local test for the flange connection that would not otherwise be leak or pressure
tested (such as blind flanges to isolate spools & final tie-in for the system already
hydrotested/leak tested)
• With KAMOS gasket, flange integrity can be tested from the outside before system pressure is
applied.
• It will also reduce the test time for normal pressure and leak tests because certain repetitions of
the tests in case of any leaked flanges connection can be avoided.
• Certainty that the seal actually seals all contact surfaces (primary and secondary sides)
• Time of testing is significantly reduced, resulting in significantly less downtime due to leak testing
as Kamos Test Equipment is simple and easy to use
• Necessary volumes of nitrogen required for testing are minimal, which means that large
quantities of test medium will be saved compared with conventional system leak testing(local test
instead of whole pipeline system leak test)
• Eventually reduce cost due to shorter offshore duration
