Salient Features
Geology Assessment
Outcrops of faults, shear zones, conjugate
shear were observed which were also
predicted to occur at different locations
along alignment. One such example of
conjugate shear and associated tectonic
lozenge outcropping near the Portal-1

The data provided in the drill hole logs do not

provide any significant information about the
lithological variation and discontinuities (faults
and shear zones) encountered. Surprisingly,
the Geological Survey of India has reported
litho contacts between sedimentary, meta-
sedimentary, and igneous litho-units present
along the alignment.
