ELEMENTS

OF A MYTH
OBJECTIVES:
• Identifying the elements of a myth.

• Analyzing a story in terms of its elements.


There are important elements that
complete a story/myth. The most basic
ones are the following:
1. Characters
-talk of people, animals, or inanimate
objects that make the story unfold
through their actions or decisions.
2. Setting
-talks of time and place where and
when the story occurs or happens.
3. Problem
-problem or conflict refers to the
challenge that the main character has
to overcome.
4. Solution
-the solution to the problem shows
how a problem is resolved.
5. Moral Lesson
-gives us the lesson we can learn from
it.
