Life in Kuwait

• British system
• School day 7:30 – 14:30 every day
• IGCSE exams based on year 10 and 11
• A and A’s levels at year 12 and 13
• Choosing subjects – 8 in total
• Interesting happenings – school plays, bleep tests, quizzes
• After school activities – school magasine, running club…

• Who can run the longest?
• School organised bleep tests for evey
year group. Four preople are choosen
from each house and they race during
first break.
• And not to forget, the staff also did it!
• It was funny to watch.
School life – rules…
• In every school, rules must be followed, but in KES, rules are
inevitable
• For example:
1. Lining up and walking in straight lines to your next lesson
2. Hair must be tied at all times
3. No jewellery or phones allowed
4. Wearing full uniform every day
School life - teachers
• All of them have cool names (Mr.
Milligam, Mr. Hardy…)
• They are pretty relaxed and
atmosphere is really friendly
• They also make jokes, a lot of jokes
School life – senior events

• Every year, students of years 12 and 13 organise events outside the


school in order to collect money for their graduation ceremony, prom,
printing presonalised backpacks…
School life – 4 houses
• Every year group is divided into 4 houses –
1. Jahra – jaguars
2. Burgan – sharks
3. Failaka - falcons
4. Ahmadi - dragons
• In every school event, such as house quiz, bleep test, sports day…

Good sides of Kuwait
• Wheather is always sunny!
• Everything is avalible and just 2-3 clicks
away
• A lot of shopping malls
• Everybody is relaxed, especially women
• Sandy beaches
• A lot of nice fruits, cafes…
• Rich country (KWD is the worlds
stronget currency)
Al Shaheed
• The most beautiful place in Kuwait
• Even though they don’t have clime
for grass and green trees, they made
it.
• Al Shaheed Park is considered the
most significant green infrastructure
project in Kuwait and has one of the
largest overstructured greenrooms in
the world.
Shopping malls in Kuwait
• Main place for going out
• When weather is too hot
• Second biggest mall in Middle East is
in Kuwait (Avenus mall)
Bad sides of Kuwait
• You go everywhere by car
• Lot of traffic, no nature
• It is safe, but still not that safe for woman
• Everyone is late
• Boliling hot summers
• A lot of unaveraged streets
Differences between Serbia and Kuwait
• Peoples mindset
• In Serbia children have a better childhood
• In Kuwait you can’t wear whatever you want
• Everything is on walking distance in Serbia
• Children don’t go out as much as we do
