Solar Energy
Solar Energy is a major renewable
energy source which is environment
friendly and it is value to money if the
area where the panels are installed has
a sufficient supply of sunlight.
What our System does
Our system measures the parameters
of a solar panel such as Light Intensity,
Voltage and Temperature to test if the
location is viable for the installation of
a solar panel.
Arduino Uno
Temperature Sensor DS18B20 and 4.7kΩ resistor

Resistors rated at 27.02kΩ and at 5.45kΩ for the

voltage divider

LDR and 100Ω resistor

Components Vero Board

20x4 LCD display

Heat Sink
LM7805 Voltage regulator

12V battery
Solar panel
How does it work
Using LDR, Voltage Divider and
Temperature Sensor connected to a mini
solar panel, data is sent to Arduino
which then after performing calculations
prints it out on the LCD Panel’s screen to
display the parameters.
Circuit Diagram
This is a low-cost system that
effectively measures solar
radiation and other parameters
associated with Solar panels.

Conclusion It can be used to predict the

feasibility and extent to which
solar power can be relied on
during different times.
