he Edwards Personal Preference Schedule (EPPS) was administered to 247 students

majoring in accounting. The 15 EPPS means of the men and women were compared and
subsequently compared to those reported for urban college students in 1973 and to the
1959 EPPS Manual norms. The data show that the current manifest needs of the sexes are
less different than those of students in the past and that student accounting majors reflect
certain needs which are different from those characterized by the college students of prior
studies.
