Introduction

Operational processes

These are processes that are directly related to the production of goods or services. Examples include
manufacturing processes, order fulfillment, and customer service.
Support processes

These are processes that support the operational processes by providing necessary resources or services. Examples
include procurement, human resources, and finance.
Management processes

These are processes that are responsible for the overall direction and control of the organization. Examples include
strategic planning, budgeting, and performance management.
Transactional processes

These are processes that involve the exchange of goods, services, or information between the organization and
external parties. Examples include sales and marketing, and customer relationship management.
