It all started back in 1962 when Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan became president of
India. In 1962 some of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s students and friends asked him if they could celebrate his birthday. He replied them that instead of celebrating my birthday you could celebrate all the teacher on September 5 because he believed teachers had the best minds in the country. Since then every year on September 5 we celebrate teacher's day. All about children's day
We celebrate children's day every year on
November 14 because its the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru the first president of India. His affection towards children made him decide that November 20 should be held as children’s day but after his death in 1964 children's day was changed from 20 November to 14 November in memory of his affection towards children.
Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru also ones said Fact
that the children of today will make the India of tomorrow. The first children's day was celebrated after independence in India. Thanks for watching/listening
