POWER POINT

PRESENTATION
TOPIC- SCIENTISTS ARE TRYING TO
MAKE AI (ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE)
WHAT IS ARTIFICIAL
INTELLIGENCE
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE is a rapidly advancing
technology made possible by the internet that may
soon have significant impacts on your day to day life
AI traditionally refers to creation of human like brain
Which can think and understand.
SOME EXAMPLES OF ARTIFICIAL
INTELLIGENCE

ROBOTS are the biggest They are used in many ways ROBOTS can be used in the
example of AI in now a days and at many places army also to prevent life loss
ADVANTAGES OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

• With artificial intelligence the chances of error are almost nil and
greater accuracy is achieved.
• Artificial intelligence find application in space exploration.
• Intelligent robots can be used for space exploration
• They can be made to adapt such a way that the atmosphere of outer
space does not affect their state of functioning
DISADVANTAGES OF ARTIFICIAL
INTELLIGENCE
• One of the main disadvantages of ARTIFICIAL
INTELLIGENCE is the cost incurred in the maintenance and
repair.
• Machines may be able to store enormous amount of data but the
storage access and retrieval is not as effective as in the case of
human brain.
• Data backup procedures are mostly time consuming and costly.
AIM BEHIND THE
DEVELOPMENT OF AI
The concepts of AI and machine learning
aren’t completely foreign to us as they
have been heavily explored by popular
media. There are lots of movies which
have shown us a world where AI-enabled
robots and machines hold the dominating
power.
CLASSIFICATION OF ARTIFICIAL
INTELLIGENCE

• Weak ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

• Strong ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
ABOUT WEAK ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

• PRINCIPAL-The main principle of weak AI is that machines can

only act as if they are intelligent. For example, when you are playing
chess against software, you will notice that it has a lot of impressive
moves. But is the software really thinking and planning those moves?
The answer is a strong no. Each chess move needs to be fed into a
program, thus ensuring that the software is capable of playing a
competent game.
ABOUT STRONG ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

• Strong A.I. represents technology that has the ability to think or function
similarly to the human brain. Most people say that this technology will never be
realized or will take another century to achieve but there is huge hope ahead.
• PRINCIPAL-The main principle of strong AI is that in the future, a computer
will be invented which can completely represent a human mind in the complete
sense of the word. It will have the ability to reason, think and do all functions
that are associated with the human mind.
CURRENT EXAMPLE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
(LAUNCH OF CHANDRAYAAN 2) ON 22 JULY 2019
WHAT HAPPENEDWITH CHANDRAYAAN 2 IN
OUTERSPACE

• India's Chandrayaan-2 mission loses contact with lunar lander. In July, India's
Chandrayaan-2 mission launched toward the moon atop a GSLV MkIII-M1
rocket. On September 6, the mission's Vikram spacecraft attempted to land
farther south than any other controlled lunar landing.
LEADING SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY OF
INDIA
NEW AND INNOVATIVE INVENTIONS IN
INDIA

• AI And Facial Recognition

• Facial recognition was the talk of the town, whether its increased adoption in
various fields of work or the controversy around it as it grew racist. India saw
startup such as Face X which in less than 10 months of being formed were
able to achieve a facial recognition accuracy of more than 94%. Paytm had
also introduced facial recognition technology to enable digital payments.
EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

• India also saw a surge in interesting startups in the areas of emotional

intelligence, Habitual AI and more, areas that had not been explored to its
full potential before. A startup launched its unique AI product called Habitual
AI that automates the process of building habits, enabling banks to create
habitual users across digital and mobile platforms.
