What is UNOS?
● Manage the nation’s transplant system
● Oversee the national transplant waiting list
● Develop policies to make sure patients have a fair
chance of receiving the organ they need
● Monitor every organ match
● Maintain a database
What is UNet℠?
● Used to collect, store, analyze, and publish all OPTN (Organ
Procurement and Transplantation Network) data
● Every transplant since October 1, 1987 is documented in UNet℠
