Plan :
 Dress code
 Introduction
 Presentation skills
 Conclusion
3 Dress Code
 Our dress code is the first impression
we give to the audience.

 Every occasion has a specific dress

code. For example: sports, a religious
gathering, a wedding, a business
dinner / company dinner, an interview,
a meeting, a graduation ceremony etc...

 Be smart (smart hair and smart

shoes.)
4 Introduction
 An introduction is a general idea of what is
in the main body or of what you are going to
talk about. For example, meeting someone
for the first time, you will introduce yourself
to them (name, your profession, what you
are studying etc...)

 Speak with confidence as you give the

introduction.

Presentation Skills
Be confident :
 By appearing self-confident, you convey to
the listener that you are confident in your
topic and have prepared yourself sufficiently.
Try to relax and not appear too stressed or
nervous.
 Another skill for advanced speakers: Step out
in front of the podium and walk around the
room and get closer to the audience. This
also exudes self-confidence and helps in
attracting your audience's attention.
Be prepared:
6  Practice makes perfect
If you prepare well before the presentation, you will feel more
relaxed and confident while presenting and it will also improve
your body language.
Here are some ways to help you prepare for a presentation:
 Rehearse in front of a crowd
 Take notes
 Experiment
 Record yourself
7 How to attract the audience ?
 Firsty know your audience (different audiences
have got different interests)

 Involve the audience (ask them questions, get

opinions and views)
 Show knowledge of what you are talking about.
How? (by doing alot of research on your topic and
practicing your presentation)
 Body language (concious and unconscious
movements made by the body) for example, facial
expressions, body gestures.) Don’t stand still when
giving a presentation
8
How to carry out the actual presentation ?

 Focus on the audience (let the audience learn something from your presentation.)

 Let the presentation be simple (use words that the audience will easily
understand, only add important points.)

 Use of visuals (graphs, piecharts, images etc...) to make your work attractive.
65% of people are visual learners.

 Be enthusiastic (be live, be energetic) show the audience that you are enjoying
what you are doing.
9 Conclusion :

 To conclude, focus on audience value

 You’re coming to the end of your presentation. How do you
wrap it up in a way that will be everlasting in their memories?
The experts recommend you focus on the feeling you want the
audience to take home.
