Title: Synth Originals

Context

One of your many Music Business clients has asked for your help.

They require some new and innovative sounds for their forthcoming album.

In a Sound Designing capacity, you have been asked to create a variety of sounds using a

selection of synthesisers and samplers.

Tasks
Synth Originals
• Using a variety of synthesis types create two sounds of each type:

Pad sound - Percussive sound – Ambient effect

• Evidence how the sound was created, through the use of screen grabs
• Create a tune utilising your creations.
• Your results should be submitted as a Logic project
• Additionally record some drum hits to be sampled for use on a live tour.
• They must be recorded, edited and placed in a sampler such EXS24
• Documentation must be provided on how you accomplished this sampling process
